Italian tire manufacturer Pirelli and Swedish deep tech company Univrses have announced a strategic partnership aimed at advancing AI-driven mobility and road intelligence systems through the integration of Univrses’ computer vision technologies into Pirelli’s Cyber Tyre platform. As part of the agreement, Pirelli will also acquire a 30% stake in Univrses, deepening the collaboration between the two companies.
The partnership combines Pirelli’s Cyber Tyre system, which uses smart tire sensors and proprietary algorithms to collect and process real-time road data, with Univrses’ 3DAI technologies designed for advanced spatial perception and infrastructure digitization. Together, the companies aim to enhance vehicle safety, improve performance, and expand applications in advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving.
